Diamond Platnumz has made a new career milestone after achieving a new height on the Chinese owned Platform, Tiktok.

WCB Wasafi CEO Diamond Platnumz has made a new record in East Africa after clocking 1 Million Followers On Tiktok, therefore, becoming the most followed East African musician on the platform.

Tiktok is a video sharing platform owned by the Chinese company known as ByteDance allowing its users to post short video clips of 15 seconds to 1 minute and sometimes up to 3 minutes to privileged users and recently it has been a remarkable sensation in Tanzania as many artists use the platform to share and promote their songs.

With this record, Diamond Platnumz becomes one of the most followed East African artists in all the big four social networks starting with his Facebook having 6.7 Million users, Twitter where he is the second most followed artist after Uganda's Bobi Wine, and Instagram where he holds the first spot in East Africa and the 3rd most followed musician in Africa after Nigeria's Davido and Yemi Alade.

Other Tanzanian celebrities with many followers on Tiktok include Nandy, Rayvanny, and the iconic superstar Vanessa Mdee.
