Chelsea FC Set to Allow Another Defender to Leave the Club

Chelsea Football Club are reportedly set to open talks with Ligue 1 side, Monaco for the transfer of Malang Sarr.

The Blues have been busy since the start of the transfer window, as players have been coming in and out of the club. Transfer News expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed this on his official Twitter account on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022.

Sarr has failed to break into Chelsea's first team since he signed for the club from OG Nice during the summer transfer window of 2020. However, he went on loan to Porto during the 2020/21 season and returned to Chelsea during the 2021/22 football season.

Newly promoted Premier League club, Fulham are also interested in signing the 23-year-old defender. However, Monaco seems to be the preferred destination for Sarr.
