The 2023 presidential candidate took time to laud Nigerian acts like Burna Boy, Wizkid, and other Nigerian youths.
Nigerian presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has sent a message to Nigerian music superstars like Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tems, and a host of others, lauding them for their contributions.
In celebration of International Youth Day today, August 12th, 2022, the APC flagbearer shared a video giving kudos to several Nigerian youths across different sectors like tech, entertainment, sports, and others.
In the long video, Tinubu acknowledged the role that Nigerian music plays on a global scale, citing Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Wizkid, and Tems as Nigerian ambassadors of hope. The politician also went on to laud sports stars like Tobi Amusan, Ese Brume, Favour Ofili, and a host of others.

Although the initiative to commend the ever-struggling Nigerian youth is appreciated, one would wonder if it's from a sincere and realistic place considering how the country constantly makes life hard for the average Nigerian youth, and the presidential aspirant's take on the horrendous killing of youths at the Lekki Toll Gate in 2020 during the #ENDSARS protest.
