Telecel Ghana Music Awards 2025: Full nominee list officially unveiled

After weeks of anticipation, the official list of nominees for the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) has been released, setting the stage for one of the biggest nights in Ghanaian music in year 2025.
The announcement, which took place on Saturday, March 15, 2025, was broadcast live on TV3 and streamed on the Ghana Music Awards' official social media platforms.
This year’s TGMA, scheduled for May 3, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Center, promises intense competition as some of Ghana’s biggest names in music go head-to-head for top honors.
Meanwhile, the journey to this year’s TGMA began on January 21, 2025, when the call for nominations was officially opened. According to Charterhouse, the event organizers, they received over 1,500 entries from more than 130 artists and music groups, covering diverse genres and styles. A panel of industry experts carefully reviewed the submissions, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process.
However, the TGMA’s most prestigious categories, known as the "Big 5," often generate the most excitement and debate. This year’s nominees for these highly anticipated categories include:
