Simi reacts to negative comments on Tiwa Savage's movie, 'Water & Garri'
Singer Simi has shared her thoughts on the negative comments surrounding Tiwa Savage's 'Water & Garri' movie release.
Award-winning singer and performer Simi in a recent post on her social media platform has addressed trolls on the social media platform X formerly known as Twitter who have been sharing negative comments about the newly released movie by Tiwa Savage titled 'Water & Garri.'
Simi initially shared a post praising Tiwa Savage for taking such a huge step daring to be different and sticking by her decision to produce a movie amidst initial rejections of the project.
Her initial post on social media read, "So excited for and proud of @TiwaSavage She challenged herself and dared to do what many must have told her not to. I saw her movie "Water and Garri" at the premiere in NY and was so happy to see her launch herself in this space. So bravely. She told me about some of the sacrifices she had made just to make it happen. How many "no"s she got and how she refused to let it deter her. I wish her all the best things."
Her initial post was quoted by a social media user who stated that Tiwa Savage should have allowed the no(s) to deter her and not release the movie.

Simi was quick to shut down such a negative response with a quote that read, "You know how you know you're an unkind person? Because It's not enough for you to have and even to share your opinion in your space, at home or on your page. You have to double down by commenting on someone else's opinion, praising and acknowledging someone's efforts and hard work - just so you can get a few "kikis" and your life can feel full today. It's not just you. It's all of you that act like this. You're just the scapegoat."
