"I'm in cuffs in Uganda right now with Tems" - Omah Lay
Nigerian fast-rising stars, Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems, and Stanley Omah Didia popularly known as Omah Lay who were arrested by the members of the Katwe police in Uganda after a show on Sunday, 13th of December 2020 have been charged to court.

Tems with her manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi, and Omah Lay have been in the Ugandan police custody for almost 24 hours and have been transferred to different prison locations to be detained till their scheduled court date on Wednesday, 16th of December 2020.

Omah Lay however took to social media on the 14th of December 2020 to share his Uganda police custody experience alongside his colleague, Tems. What looks like a 'What Have We Done' moment via tweet reads:

The Uganda Police Force via their Twitter page confirmed the reports when they expressed that the Nigerian superstars have been charged to court in Makindye on charges of Negligently doing acts likely to spread an infectious disease C/S 171 of the Penal Code Act. Tweet reads:
The Nigerian trio of Stanley Omah Didia alias Omah Lay, Temilade Openyi alias Tems and Muyiwa Awomiyi have been charged to court in Makindye on charges of Negligently doing acts likely to spread an infectious diseases C/S 171 of the Penal Code Act.
The earlier plans of releasing them on police bond, were suspended after their casefile was sanctioned by the Office of the DPP.
They were jointly charged with four other Ugandans. All remanded till Wednesday 16.12.2020.
Due to the breakout of the Covid-19 pandemic, music concerts were suspended by the Ugandan government to curb the spread and the ban was still in place and other reports on social media however claim that the musicians were arrested after Ugandan artistes called out the police in their country for allowing foreign artistes hold events while the locals are denied.
