Nigerian veteran singer, Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D'banj, has regained his freedom after being recently arrested and detained by the Independent Corruption Practices and Other Offences Commission, ICPC.
The singer was arrested on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, over fraud allegations for reportedly colluding with some government officials to divert funds for the government's youth empowerment initiative, N-Power.

In an update of events, the ace musician has been released, and his lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, has announced the development on Friday, December 9th, 2022, via his social media platform, stating that the musician was released on self-recognition.
