Davido earns new Platinum, Gold certifications in Canada for hit songs
Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has added another milestone to his impressive international résumé, securing a fresh collection of music certifications from Music Canada.
The singer, known for his infectious hooks and genre-blending sound, received multiple Platinum and Gold plaques for several of his global hits. This is proof of his enduring appeal beyond Africa.
Leading the pack is Unavailable, one of the standout tracks from his acclaimed Timeless album, which has officially gone Platinum in Canada. The amapiano-infused anthem quickly became a worldwide favorite following its release, solidifying Davido’s versatility and command of global music trends.
Also achieving Platinum status are two of Davido’s classic singles: IF, the iconic love anthem that helped push Afrobeats into international pop conversations, and Fall, a record widely credited for opening doors for Afrobeats artists in North America.
In addition, three of Davido’s other hits secured Gold plaques. Feel, another fan-favorite off Timeless, was recognized for its smooth production and heartfelt delivery. Risky, a collaborative dancehall-leaning track featuring Jamaican star Popcaan, and Blow My Mind, his hit collaboration with American R&B artist Chris Brown, also reached Gold status.
