Nigerian singer, Banky W has debunked the rumour that is going round the internet that him and other Nigerian influencers including Simi have been paid by President Muhammadu Buhari's camp to further the agenda of the present administration in the guise of the new youth driven initiative, 67Million Youth.

This news was published by Leaders.ng which revealed that their findings was as a result of investigation done on the initiative because of the members that were revealed as part of it. According to this investigation, 200Million Naira has been budgeted for the project to take off and these influencers are aware of the political intentions behind it. This report according to Leaders.ng was made known to them by an unnamed source of the presidency who recvealed that the brain behind the initiative is the Senior Special Adviser to the President on social Investment Programs, Ismael Ahmed.

This news is sounding ore believable to many because of some some individuals are part of it and had also supported the present administration in 2015 like Debola Williams(whose name is not on the list below), Japhet Omojuwa, Olive Emodi and more.

According to this unnamed source, the promoters and influencers haven't been easy to convinced considering how pained they are with the present administration and while they have been informed that the initiative is for the benefit of the youth, Leaders.ng stated their their source revealed it's to galvanize support for the president who already lost the support of the youth.

Well, R&B singer Banky W has addressed the issue stating that while he understands Nigerians present suspicious mode because they have been taken advantage of, that doesn't mean everything automatically means corruption. According to Banky W, this initiative is 100% free of any government influence and it is open to every single youth that is interested in being a part.

He also express anger towards Nigerians for believing and spreading the news the way they did considering how the initiative is aimed at speaking for the people and ensuring they are well represented, stating further that he has never supported any presidential candidate publicly.

Although Banky W has debunked the rumour abut him being apart of anyone who wants to ruin Nigeria or of 67Million Youth being anything but an initiative that want to see the country grow, people still so not believe him as they think he might even be an ignorant tool oblivious of the core purpose of the initiative or the owners.

We still haven't seen a response from Simi yet but both artistes are presently under serious attack from Nigerians on social media who feel they have been betrayed by their own.
