After shining like a Diamond in the Headies Awards a few months back, Tanzanian music royalty Diamond Platnumz has once again made his fans proud after winning big in the 2022 AFRIMMA Awards and so is Kenya's rap Genius Femi One.
AFRIMMA has continued to roll out its 2022 winners and finally, Kenya's Femi One and Tanzania's Diamond Platnumz have taken home the trophy at the prestigious award show. The AFRIMMA Awards took place this weekend in Dallas Texas in a highly publicized ceremony.

Utawezana hitmaker Femi One won the award for a Best female rapper in Africa making it the first time that a Kenyan artist has won the category. To celebrate the news, Femi One took to Instagram where she thanked all her supporters and made the record clear that she is the first East African artist to win the category.
Diamond Platnumz was awarded Best Live Act, a category that he also won at the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards.
