He adopted the name in 2002 after watching the movie Star Wars and being inspired by the character Anakin Skywalker.
For his debut on Victoria FM around 2002, Fredrick opted to introduce himself as Sky, since then he decided to use the moniker as his brand signature.

Fredrick Bundala grew up in the Kwimba area of Mwanza. His fascination with renowned presenters like Phina Mango fueled his early enthusiasm for media and music.

While attending Musoma High School and pursuing the HGK combination during his Advanced High School years, Fredrick landed his first radio presenting opportunity at Victoria FM in Musoma. This opportunity arose after he completed his Form 6 studies, and he made his on-air debut in June 2002.
During his time at Victoria FM, Sky excelled in his role. As he prepared to enroll at St. Augustine University in Mwanza, he received an invitation to join the nationwide radio station, Radio Free Africa (RFA).
After gaining popularity with his radio show "Sintosahau" on RFA, which aired on Sundays, Sky became a household name. His amazing storytelling skills and remarkable voice attracted a large audience to the show.
