Tems shares rap freestyle amidst incoming debut album rumours Notjustok

Grammy award winner, Tems has been an unforgettable force in the Nigerian music space since her debut in 2018.

She has been on a musical awards stream especially with winning the Billboard Breakthrough award in March 2024. Aside from that, Tems has not been churning as many songs as she did in the early 2020s. Throughout 2023, Tems released only two singles, Not and Angel and Me & U.

Because of this, fans were excited when a video started circulating on social media showing Tems giving a freestyle on a beat. She is known for her distinct voice and control of the RnB genre. So, it was exciting to see her freestyling magnificently to an Amapiano beat.

The video went viral on March 11, 2024, and showed Tems rapping to a mix of soulful Amapiano and Afrobeats. It showed Tems flowing seamlessly as the Amapiano chords digressed and Afrobeats took over on cue. All the buzz around the video is also about the news that Tems is releasing her debut album this year, 2024. She is also reportedly going to feature on the debut album of Grammy award winner Tyla.
