Victor Osimhen Gives Update on His Injury Ahead of AFCON

Super Eagles and Napoli forward player Victor Osimhen has given an update as it concerns his readiness for the African Cup of Nations.

The 24-year-old posted a tweet on his official Twitter account on Tuesday, December 21st, 2021. According to the player, he will be available for the competition that will be hosted in Cameroon. Osimhen suffered an injury in a Serie A game while playing for Napoli against Inter Milan.

I will be available for AFCON unless If am not among the players picked to represent Nigeria.

Osimhen was initially ruled out for at least three months by the doctors at Napoli, but the player had since started light training for at least two weeks. The player now uses a protective face shield, which will help him from aggravating the injury.
