#Tokyo2020: Jasmine Camacho-Quinn Wins Women's 100 meters Hurdles Final

Peurto Rican-America's representative, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, has won the Gold Medal at the Women's 100 meters hurdles event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with a time of 12.37 seconds on Monday, August 2nd, 2021. Kendra Harrison of the United States of America won the Silver medal while Jamaica's Megan Tapper won the Bronze medal with a time of 12.55 seconds.

Nigeria's representative Oluwatobiloba Amusan finished fourth with a time of 12.60 seconds. This is the second time she is finishing fourth for the second time at a major championship in two years. The Nigerian was behind before the first barrier. Although she finished strongly, it was a little too late for a podium finish.

In the Women's 200 meters event, Nigeria's Grace Nwokocha booked her spot in the semi-final coming third in her heat. The Nigerian who started from lane eight in her heat 1 ran an impressive personal best time of 22.47 seconds, cutting down over three-tenths from her previous personal best of 22.79 seconds. Ivory coast's Ta Lou won the heat with a time of 22.30 seconds.
