Former World Number 1 women's tennis player, Serena Williams has made a shocking announcement to her fans.

The American confirmed on her official Instagram account, that she will participate in the next Wimbledon Open ( SW19) which will be hosted in England. Serena last played any tennis competition one year ago when she suffered an injury during the last Wimbledon.
She posted an image of her trainers on grass, captioning it: "SW and SW19. It's a date. 2022, see you there.".
The 40-year-old has won seven Wimbledon titles, the last time she won the title was in 2006. This year's competition starts on Tuesday, June 27th, 2022.
