Ralf Rangnick Gives Update on Edison Cavani's Injury

Manager of Manchester United, Ralf Rangnick has given an update on Edison Cavani's injury ahead of the game against Brighton.

Rangnick was speaking on Manchester United's website after the draw against Southampton at Old Trafford on Saturday, February 12th, 2022. The German suffered another two points drop in two consecutive Premier League games.

I don't know to be honest. I thought and was told after training that he will be available for today ( Southampton) but, after training, the doctor came to see me and then I spoke to Edi and i told them let's wait until morning before the game and ase if treatment can make things any better. But I spoke to him today ( Saturday) before we had breakfast and he said to me that that pain is too big and he cannot play.

Cavani suffered a grion injury in training ahead of the against the Saints. Manchester United fans will hope the Uruguayan is fit before they played Brighton on Tuesday, February 15th, 2022.
