PSG President Speaks on the Future of Lionel Messi

The President of Paris Saint Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has reacted to the rumors that have been linking Lionel Messi away from the French capital.

There have been rumors as it concerns the future of Lionel Messi at PSG when his contract expires at the end of the season. Several media houses have reported that the Argentine might return to Barcelona where he started his football career.

Al-Khelaifi was speaking in an interview with Sky Sports News where he asked about the future of the Argentine captain. He said the club held talks with Messi before the World Cup and conversations will continue after the tournament.

We have agreed together to discuss after the World Cup but both parties are very happy. He is very happy at PSG, you can see that with the national team he has played fantastically this season for us.

Messi joined PSG from Barcelona in the summer of 2021 and has been in fantastic form since he joined the Ligue 1 club. The Parisians will hope he can lead them to winning their first-ever UEFA Champions League title.
