OFFICIAL: UEFA Move Champions League Final Away From Russia | See Details
The body governing football in Europe, UEFA have confirmed that the final of the Champions League will no longer be played in Russia.

The news was confirmed in an official statement released by UEFA on Friday, February 25th, 2022 at an emergency meeting of the European football body. The decision was taken after Russia's President, Vladimir Putin launched a military invasion on Ukraine yesterday( Thursday, February 24th, 2022).
The UEFA executive committee decided to relocate the final of the 2021-22 UEFA Men's Champions League from St Petersburg to Stade de France in St Denis.The game will be played as initially scheduled on Saturday May 28 at 9pm CET.UEFA wishes to express its thanks and appreciation to French Republic president Emmanuel Macron for his personal support and commitment to have European club football's most prestigious game moved to France at a time of unparalleled crisis.
UEFA have also confirmed that the home games of Ukrainian and Russian Clubs competing in European competitions will be played at a neutral venue until further notice
