Official statement from Antony on the domestic violence accusation

Manchester United midfielder, Antony has released an official statement to clarify the current allegations that were levelled against him by his ex-girlfriend.

The Brazilian released a statement on his official Instagram story on Monday, September 4, 2023, clearing the air about the allegations. Antony admitted that there was verbal abuse between himself and his ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, but denied any form of physical abuse.

Recall that Gabriela released fresh evidence against the Manchester United player. She accused him of breaking her fingers and hitting her when she was pregnant. She confirmed this in an interview that was released on the Brazilian website UOL on Monday, September 4, 2023.

The new evidence includes photographs and screenshots of messages where she claimed that the Brazilian attacked her on various occasions between June 2022 and May 2023.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed that they are aware of the situation, but investigations remain ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the allegations.
