Mauricio Pochettino gives update on Andrey Santos' future

Chelsea's manager, Mauricio Pochettino has spoken about the future of Andrey Santos at the club going into the rest of the season.

Poch was speaking in a press conference ahead of the semi-final game against Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup. According to him, Andrey Santos will return to Brazil for a month before the club decides what the future holds for the player.

"Andrey is now going to Brazil to join the national team for a month. During this time, we will decide if it's good to move on loan or stay with us once he comes back from Brazil."

Chelsea had initially recalled Santos from Nottingham Forest after he was not given game time during his six-month loan spell at the club which started in the 2022 summer transfer window.
