The Spaniard was substituted during the halftime break and according to reports from Stamford Bridge Alonso said some insulting words to Tuchel at halftime, hence the reason why he was substituted. This is not the first time Alonso is having problems with a manager at the club, he had the same issue with Frank Lampard which led to him being frozen out of the team before Tuchel took over in January 2021.
Alonso is reportedly keen on moving away from Chelsea and Barcelona looks more likely to be the destination of the left-back. Tuchel has had issues in the past with players like Romelu Lukaku and Christain Pulisic as it concerns the German coaching philosophy.
However, Tuchel has not commented as it concerns the situation but it will be interesting to see if Alonso will be selected for the Blue's Premier League game against Leeds United.
