A large chunk of the team were reportedly poisoned after their UEFA Europa League game against Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday, September 15th, 2022. According to reports from the Sun, 12 players could not train with the team after it was confirmed that they had suffered from food poison.

Manchester United could not feel the impact of the situation because their league game against Leeds United was postponed because of the burial ceremony of the Queen.

The Supporters of the Red Devils will hope that the players are well before they host the Premier League Champions on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022.
