Manchester United confirmed the news on its website on Thursday, December 167th, 2021. According to reports from the club, the decision to postpone the game will ensure there is no spread of the virus among other players who have not been infected by the virus.

The game against Brighton is United's second game that has been postponed in less than a week. The first game rescheduled was an away fixture against Brentford.
