Check out what is happening in the transfer world as Kevin De Bruyne leaves the Etihad Stadium for free ahead of a new season.

As the 2025/2026 club football season approaches at super-fast speed, a new update has emerged on the possible transfer of Kevin De Bruyne.

Kevin De Bruyne’s potential move to Napoli is gaining momentum, with the Belgian midfielder reportedly in advanced talks with the Serie A champions. After a decade at Manchester City, where he secured six Premier League titles and a Champions League victory, De Bruyne is exploring new horizons as his contract approaches its June 30 expiration.

Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has expressed optimism about the transfer, noting that De Bruyne has already purchased a villa in Naples. He mentioned a recent video call with De Bruyne and his family, indicating the player’s serious consideration of the move.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, his agents are scheduled to meet with Napoli representatives on Wednesday to finalise a potential deal. The proposed contract would see De Bruyne sign a two-year agreement, with an option for a third season, and includes a juicy €10 million (£8.4m) signing bonus.
