Juventus 15-Point Deduction in Serie A Has Been Revoked

SHARE

The supporters of Juventus Football Club were excited following the latest decision to revoke their 15 points deduction. The Italian giants were allegedly accused in January 2023 of boosting their transfer fees so they could boost their capital gains.

The news was confirmed just hours before their crucial Europa League quarter-final second leg away to Sporting Lisbon. The Serie A side takes a 1-0 lead from the first leg. If they advance, they will face either Manchester United or Sevilla in the semi-finals.

Juventus saw their Serie A penalty revoked pending a new trial to further clarify their capital gains controversy, meaning the FIGC Federal Court of Appeal must re-evaluate. However, the new appeal is to be submitted before the next 30 days.

The Old Lady now sit third in the Serie A table, knocking out UEFA Champions League semi-finalists AC Milan and Inter Milan out of the Champions League places. The Milan clubs are now fifth and sixth respectively, while Napoli are almost out of sight at the top of Serie A, there is a chance that Juventus could take the second spot, as they now sit just two points behind Lazio with eight games remaining.
