John Terry sends a message to Chelsea board after Pochettino's exit

Chelsea legend John Terry has sent a message to the club's board following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino after an impressive season.

The English international expressed his shock about Pochettino's exit from Chelsea on his official Instagram story on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. John Terry also advised the board by sending them a message via his official Instgram account, not to make any player transfers until a new manager is appointed for the 2024/25 season.

"Gutted to see @Pochettino @jpp_71 @sebpochettino Leave. I just hope we don't sign or sell any player before the manager comes in."

Chelsea confirmed Pochettino's departure on its official website on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. According to the statement, Pochettino left the club by mutual consent after meeting with the board of directors.

In their statement, Chelsea expressed gratitude to Pochettino for his service and wished him success in his future coaching career.

The reason for the departure has not been made clear, despite the club finishing in sixth place, guaranteeing European football next season. The outcome of the FA Cup final will determine if Chelsea will compete in the Europa League or the Conference League.
