Fenerbahce and Mesut Ozil Part Ways By Mutual Consent
The contract of Mesut Ozil at the Turkish side, Fenerbahce has officially come to an end following an agreement between both parties.

The news was confirmed by a sports news outlet which is based in Turkey on Monday, July 11th, 2022. According to reports, the decision was taken following an outburst between the German and the interim coach of the club over his fitness.
That bust-up came with interim head coach Ismail Kartal after which he was not able to break into the team even under new manager Jorge Jesus, who has left him out of his squad. Ozil has not featured for the Turkish side since March 20th, 2022.
Jesus said Ozil's achievements will never be taken from him but the German will never play under him as long as he is the manager.
