Real Madrid Football Club have confirmed a contract extension with one of its top midfielders, Federico Valverde on a long-term deal.

The club confirmed the news of Federico Valverde's new contract on its official website on Thursday, November 9, 2023. According to information, the 25-year-old signed a new deal which will keep him at the club until 2029.

The club's statement read thus,

"Real Madrid CF and Fede Valverde have agreed to extend the player’s contract, which remains linked to the club until June 30, 2029. Valverde arrived at Real Madrid in July 2016, when he was only 18 years old. In his six seasons defending the first team shirt he is already one of the best midfielders in the world.”

Valverde joins Eduardo Camavinga, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Eder Militao as the latest set of players to sign a contract extension with Real Madrid. The new deals were given to these players as a reward for their performances at the club and also as a way to not leave the club.

Valverde has made 220 appearances for Real Madrid since signing from Uruguayan side Penarol in 2017. He last signed a six-year deal in 2021, when his release clause was raised to €1bn.
