Manchester City's Erling Haaland was named the best player in the Premier League following his fantastic form for the cityzens. The Norwegian was in brilliant form since he joined the Premier League Champions.
Haaland's nine goals in his first five appearances were the most in the competition's history, breaking the record of eight previously held by Mick Quinn and Sergio Aguero. He is the sixth player to score hat-tricks in consecutive Premier League appearances, in the game against Palace and Forest to be the first to achieve the feat since Harry Kane in 2017.
He is the first player to win the award in his first month in the Premier League since Bruno Fernandez won the award in February 2020.
