Erik Ten Hag Close to Getting His First Player of the Season

Manchester United Football Club are reportedly close to agreeing on a contract with Barcelona as it concerns Frenkie de Jong.

Soy Sports News confirmed the news on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, according to reports, both clubs have agreed to a transfer fee of €65 million, plus performance-related add-ons. The Red Devils' manager has made it clear from the onset that his fellow countryman is his priority going into the new season.

Manchester United will be out four of it's first team players from last season which includes Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic and Jesse Lingard. The exit of these players means the club will have to get new players in ahead of the new season.

The Old Trafford club are looking to at least get back into competing with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and to an extent Chelsea for a chance in the top four next season.
