Christian Eriksen Set For His Return To Inter Milan Next Week

Captain of the Denmark football team, Christian Eriksen, will return to his club Inter Milan next week for a medical test to determine if he can continue playing football for the Serie A 2020/21 Champions.

The information was confirmed on the website of Sky Sports News on Thursday, July 22, 2021, where they reported that doctors might need to be sure he can perform without his defibrillator.

Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest on June 12, 2021, which saw him collapse during a Euro 2020 game between Denmark and Finland.

The game was suspended for over an hour but the danish team lost the game 1-0 but that defeat stop the team from reaching the Semi-final of the competition losing 2-1 to England in extra time.

The 29-year-old has been with the aid of a defibrillator, the doctors at his club need him to come for the test to determine if he can play for the Italian side without it.

According to reports from some doctors around the world, Eriksen might need six months out of football before he can get back to full fitness.

Eriksen made a transfer move from Tottenham to Inter Milan in 2020, he scored 51 goals in 226 appearances. He was influential in the first season for Inter Milan, by helping them win their first Serie A title since 2010.
