Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea would have to go back to the drawing board as their bid for two players from two clubs to strengthen their squad further has been rejected.

Chelsea's bid for Wesley Fofana was again rejected today, Tuesday, August 23, 2022, by Leicester City, who is adamant about receiving a huge transfer fee of over 80 million pounds and according to reports, the Blues are not looking to go higher than 70 million pounds.

Chelsea's bid for Anthony Gordon was also reportedly rejected as Everton now wants a staggering fee of over 70 million pounds for the youngster, who is also sought after by Antonio Conte's Tottenham.

The blues would be looking to beat the transfer deadline and sign more players following their woeful defeat at the hands of Leeds United in their third premier league fixture. The absence of Kante and Kovacic had been noticeable as the team could hardly create chances and also keep the ruthless Leeds United at bay.
