Chelsea FC Equal Manchester United Premier League Record

Chelsea Football Club have equalled the Premier League record which was set by Manchester United.

TEAMS WITH THE MOST GOALS IN A PREMIER LEAGUE SEASON

The Blues achieved this feat in their opening Premier League game of the 2022/23 season against Everton. The victory means that Chelsea has won its opening fixture for 20 seasons, a feat which was achieved by the Red Devils since the 1992/93 football season.

Chelsea won the game by a lone goal which was scored by its penalty taker specialist, Jorginho following a foul on his teammate, Ben Chilwell in the last minutes of the first half.

The victory was the first time Chelsea will win a Premier League game at Goodison Park. The supporters of Chelsea will hope the winning streak continues when they face Tottenham Hotspurs at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, August 14th, 2022.
