Ancelloti confirmed the news during a pre-match press conference for the game against Barcelona. Benzema was substituted in Madrid's game against Real Mallorca.

The French man will be missed by fans of the team when they face their rivals from Catalonia. Benzema has scored five goals in his last two games for the Galacticos.
