Cameroonian Federation Appoint Rigobert Song as Head Coach
The Cameroonian Football Federation ( Fecafoot) has confirmed the appointment of Rigobert Song as the coach of the Indomitable Lions.

The news was confirmed by the federation on Monday, February 28th, 2022. According to the statement, Cameroon needed a new breath in the system.
The country's sport minister, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi said that the decision to appoint Song was based on the instruction from the President of the federation.
On very high instructions from the President of the Republic, the coach of the men's national football team, Mr Antonio Conceicao, has been replaced by Rigobert Song. The Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot) is invited to take the necessary measures for a rapid and harmonious implementation of these very high directives.
Song will bring his experience from coaching the U-21 Cameroon national team. The first task of the former captain of the team is to qualify the team for the World Cup qualifier against Algeria in a doubleheader later this month.
