CAF Approves FIFA's New World Cup Proposal | Read
The body governing football in Africa, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially shown support to FIFA's proposal of hosting the World Cup every two years as against the once in four years.

The proposal was validated by the member nations at the extraordinary assembly that is ongoing in Egypt. According to reports from Athletic, the President of CAF, Patrice Motsepe, said the proposal will be the biggest beneficiary of the proposal.
CAF welcomes the FIFA Congress' decision to conduct a feasibility study on hosting men's and women's FIFA World Cups every two years.
If the FIFA study concludes it is feasible, CAF will support hosting the men's and women's FIFA World Cup every two years.
The proposal has caused a lot of different reactions from federations around the world since it was announced by FIFA in August 2021.
UEFA and CONMEBOL are not in support lf the proposal and have threatened to withdraw from the competition if FIFA goes ahead with the plan.
