Burnley beat Manchester United in friendly match

The supporters of Manchester United Football Club we're left with a lot of worries after their game against Burnley in a friendly game.

One of Manchester United's fan page account, Utd Plug (@UtdPlug) confirmed on his official Twitter account that the match was played behind closed doors on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.

The Red Devils lost the game which was overseen by the team's manager, Erik Ten Hag having fielded several of United's fringe players. The team included Jonny Evans, Hannibal Mejbri, Álvaro Fernández, Scott McTominay, Anthony Martial, Donny Van de Beek and Facundo Pellistri reportedly all started the game.

The 3-0 defeat against Burnley comes after the poor performance in their opening Premier League fixtures against Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur which saw them winning one and losing the other.

Manchester United will be looking to get back to winning ways when they host Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
