There were reports from the media that the Bundesliga club are interested in the signing of the Portuguese. According to reports from Sky News in Germany, Dortmund's CEO confirmed that there is no contact between his club and the camp of Ronaldo.

I love Cristiano Ronaldo, it's certainly a charming idea to see Cristiano play at Signal Iduna Park. But there is no contact at all between the parties involved.

Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes is working round the clock to see his player leave Manchester United before the end of the transfer window which closes on September 1st, 2022.

The manager of the Red Devils, Erik Ten Hag has made it clear in the past that he is open to allowing Ronaldo to leave the club if a better offer comes for him. The Portuguese is reportedly been linked with a move to PSG, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.
