The athlete has claimed her innocence in the whole incident and has called on God to fight her battle. She made a post on her official Facebook account after the AIU released a statement.

To God of all grace, truth, and vengeance. Hear my heart cry.

Okagbare was suspended during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games after testing positive for a human growth hormone following an out-of-competition test.

She recently tested positive for recombinant erythropoietin ( EPO) a substance that is responsible for the increase of red blood cells. She is also accused of not cooperating with the AIU investigation.

The Unit said the Olympic medalist failed to comply with formal requirements to produce relevant documents, records, and electronic storage devices needed for the investigation.
