Ben Chilwell Breaks Silence on the Dressing Room Situation at Chelsea

Chelsea's defender, Ben Chilwell has given an update of the dressing room situation at the Stamford Bridge club.

The left-back was speaking in am interview after the defeat against Southampton at Stamford Bridge on February 18th, 2023. He said the situation at the club is not encouraging and a lot of expected from the team.

Some of us a few years ago tasted winning a major trophy and then to be in this situation now, does not feel good at all. Understandably, the fans are not happy. They expect Chelsea to win matches which we also expect. Again, not good enough. I can stand here and say we created chances, like I said in Dortmund, but it doesn’t really mean anything. We need to win these games. We need to work hard, it is a pretty flat dressing room at the moment. It is hard to get into it, in terms of what we did right and wrong today, but we have time now until our next game to work hard.

Chelsea has been in relegation form since November 2022, they have only managed a win in 2023 which was against Crystal Palace. The Blues are in tenth place on the Premier League table with just 31 points having played 23 league games.
