#AUSOPEN: Australian Border Force Deny Novak Djokovic Visa

World Number 1 male tennis player, Novak Djokovic has had his visa denied by the Australian Border Force.

The news was announced by the body on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022. According to reports from the statement, the Serbian failed to provide the right visa papers that will grant him access into the country.

Djokovic announced on his official Instagram account on Tuesday, January 4th, 2022, that he was going to compete at the Australian Open after he was allowed to compete based on medical exemption.

The 34-year-old has failed to revealed his vaccination identity since the Australian government announced that only vaccinated players and officials will be allowed into the country. According to reports from Australia, Djokovic was delayed at the airport for almost eight hours before he was finally denied visa

The 20 Grand Slams titles winner will have his lawyers appeal the decision to denied him visa into Australia. If the appeal by Djokovoc's lawyers fail then he will have to wait for another grand slam to surpass both Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
