Asisat Oshoala sets new record for Africa at the Women's World Cup 2023

Nigeria and Barcelona's forward Asisat Oshoala has set a new record in Africa's football history with her stunning goal at the Women's World Cup 2023.

Asisat Oshoala showed once again why she was crowned Africa's Women Footballer of the Year at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 as she scored a stunning goal which established a new record in Africa's football history and heritage.

Oshoala became the first and only African women's player to score in three different world cup tournaments.

Her first goal of the World Cup 2023 for the Super Falcons of Nigeria, came in the 76th minute against the host of the competition, Australia who were defeated by the scoreline 2-3 to take Nigeria to the top of the group B table.

It was no hidden fact that the goalscoring machine would prove to be a vital part of the Super Falcons campaign and she did not disappoint in anyway.
