Goal reported the news of the transfer on Tuesday, August 24th, 2021. The Brazilian has struggled to find his rhythm at the Gunners since he joined last summer. He has played 37 games, scoring just a goal.

According to reports, If Willian moves to another club, Arsenal might have to continue paying a percentage of the player's wages. The 33-year-old is keen on a move out of the Emirates, but he still wants to remain in Europe.

The former Chelsea winger left Stamford Bridge after seven seasons because the West London side wanted to offer him a two-year deal, but the Brazilian wanted a three-year deal.
