However, both teams did not give the fans watching at the Yaounde Stadium on Monday, January 10th, 2022, and those at home the same expectations that were expected before the game.

(1) Both teams were too cautious:

The game did not give football fans the pre-match expectations they had coming into the match. The Ghanaian and Moroccan teams showed themselves too much respect coming into that game and did not want to concede to unnecessary goals. This tactic by both teams made the match boring to fans watching the match.

(2) Lack of Creativity in both teams:

The game was expected to showcase the best of African Football in terms of attacking prowess on the continent, but the attacking players of both teams were blunt giving their opposition defense little or nothing to do throughout the entity of the game.

(3) Both teams do not have what it takes to be Champions of Africa:

Ghana and Morocco were part of the team most pundits have penned down as potential champions of the competition. The game showed the lack of creativity and urgency between both teams, which does not show the credentials that are needed to be Champions of the Africa Cup of Nations.

(4) Hakim Ziyech:

The Moroccan team missed the experience of the Chelsea winger on the team. Ziyech's strength in the attacking part of the team was missed whenever the Moroccans broke forward to create a chance for themselves. They did not invite the Chelsea man following the misunderstanding between the coach and himself during the International break.

(5) Morocco have an edge in the Group:

The 83rd-minute goal from Sofiane Boufal has given the North African Country an edge in the group as they go to the next round of games with three points which will be vital when the group winner is to be decided at the end of the group games. This result means Ghana can not afford a defeat in their next game against Gabon
