Nigerian afrobeats superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has revealed how long it took to make his Grammy-nominated album 'Made in Lagos'.

The global music superstar, who was named the Apple Music African Artist of the Year recently and in the subsequent video interview, revealed that it took him three years to record the commercially successful project, amidst other revelations.

2021 has been great for Starboy with his song, Essence smashing its way into the global scene and that definitely came with awards. Wizkid has already been nominated for the 2022 Grammy Awards in two categories, and he is ruling most of the Billboard charts at the moment. This has been the best year for African music in a long while, and Big Wiz is championing that movement.

Apple announced the winners of their annual Apple Music Awards on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, with Wizkid grabbing the award for African Artist of the Year. In the video interview conducted by Apple Music, Wizkid made a lot of revelations, including the fact that he has only three features on his next album, titled 'More Love, Less Ego'.
