Wizkid Presented with BMI Award for Contribution to 'One Dance'
Nigerian superstar singer, Wizkid was recently spotted out in London with Ghana's King Promise holding his BMI Award for his contribution to Drake's global hit 'One Dance'
The video of Wizkid and King Promise with the BMI Award was shared by the Ghanaian via Snapchat on Thursday, the 22nd of July 2021. In the video, they are seen holding the award in a lounge setting with friends while Mr Eazi's Skintight blares from the speakers.

King Promise shared the video of Wizkid holding the BMI Award in his hands and wrote, "London what you sayingggg ... sun is out ! boutta be a mad summer".

Nigerian superstar, Wizkid has had a stellar year so far, the BMI Award is not even the start of it. The singer's hit song, Essence off his latest album, Made in Lagos has been breaking records on Billboard all year. It also recently broke into the top 30 of the US Apple Music chart.
Wizkid has spent a lot of time in Ghana recently and is only now in London to kick off his Made in Lagos tour. When asked why he thinks Wizkid prefers to like in Accra, King Promise state that the serenity and calmness that Ghana oozes might also be the reason why Wizkid loves it over there. According to King Promise, away from Wizkid, a lot of people, even Londoners these days, prefer to go to Ghana for their holiday.
