Nigerian singer Terry Alexandar Ejeh, popularly known as Terry Apala, has taken legal action against social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman, over a defamatory claim made months ago.

Verydarkman had alleged in a viral video that Wizkid’s associate DJ Tunez, Terry Apala, and DJ Osas were summoned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and reportedly paid bribes to the agency. The video quickly circulated online, stirring controversy and sparking backlash.

In a swift response, Terry Apala, through his legal representatives, issued a formal letter to Verydarkman demanding the immediate removal of the video and a retraction of the false claims. The singer gave the activist a strict 48-hour deadline to comply, warning that failure to do so would result in legal action.

In the letter, Apala stated that the bribery allegation was entirely fabricated, insisting he has never engaged in such acts. He further explained that he had been out of the country for several months, during which he observed Ramadan and later travelled to South Africa for performances, making the claim impossible.

The singer also accused Verydarkman of chasing clout at his expense and potentially damaging the reputation of the EFCC with the baseless narrative. As the countdown to the ultimatum continues, fans and industry insiders are closely watching to see how Verydarkman responds.
