Paul Okoye speaks on insecurity in Nigeria

Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy has shared his thoughts on addressing insecurity in Nigeria.

Following reports of an explosion in parts of Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tusday, January 16, 2024, Rudeboy took to his Instagram story today, January 17, 2024 to convey a message.

The talented singer, who has omce advised rising artists on how to avoid depression, urged Nigerians to recognize that they are responsible for their own safety, emphasizing that accepting this responsibility is crucial for enhancing personal safety.

“The earlier you realize that you’re responsible for your own safety in Nigeria… the safer you’ll be,” He wrote.

It is no longer news that insecurity in Nigeria has done more harm than good to the masses and Nigerians are looking for a way to survive on their own.

At around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, residents of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, experienced confusion and panic as an explosion reverberated through parts of the city.

The exact cause and location of the explosion were uncertain, leading to varied speculations among residents. Some described it as a tremor, while others suggested possibilities such as a gas explosion or a blast from an improvised explosive device.
