Official release date for Wizkid’s new album 'Morayo' announced

The singer, after dropping a single off the album, might indeed be following up with the project sooner than expected.

Nigerian superstar Ayodeji Balogun Ibrahim, popularly known as Wizkid, is expected to release his highly anticipated new album Morayo next month.

His previous studio album, More Love, Less Ego, released in 2022, didn't quite achieve the expected success, but the singer is now preparing to make a strong comeback with his sixth studio album. Wizkid has already made waves in 2024, with a feature on Bob Marley’s One Love album and the crowd-favourite remix of DJ Tunez’s Apala Disco. Now, fans are eagerly awaiting his next body of work.

The Starboy Entertainment frontrunner has consistently teased Morayo, a deeply personal album dedicated to his late mother, whom he tragically lost in 2023, leaving fans eagerly anticipating what promises to be an exceptional project. On Friday, October 18th, he offered a glimpse of what's to come by dropping Piece of My Heart, a silky R&B track featuring American soul sensation Brent Faiyaz.

As anticipation continues to grow, American music and entertainment magazine Billboard, while sharing the latest single Piece of My Heart, has confirmed that the project Morayo is set to be released on November 22, 2024
