A Nigerian man, who was among the internet users claiming Mercy Chinwo's son bears a striking resemblance to Music Minister, Nathaniel Bassey, has refused to apologize despite being sued by Bassey.

In a video that has been circulating online since Thursday, April 4, 2024, the young man asserts that he merely expressed an opinion, which he believes is not a criminal offense.

Following the online controversy, where some social media users criticized Chinwo's baby, Nathaniel Bassey took legal action and petitioned the police to arrest those involved. While some have shown remorse, this particular individual maintains his stance, arguing that he did not commit any wrongdoing warranting an apology.

The man clarifies that he did not advocate for a DNA test like some others did; rather, he simply pointed out the resemblance between the baby's face and Nathaniel Bassey's. He emphasizes that his opinion reflects what numerous Nigerians also believe, given the widespread discussion on the matter.

Additionally, he explains that he was not the one who initially shared the pictures online but participated in the conversation like any other internet user, expressing his viewpoint on the topic.
